| Eggs From Poultry on Pasture |
"Ex ovo omnia. Everything from an egg." William Harvey (1578-1657) English Physician |
|
| Our eggs come from hens raised on our farm. Our hens are allowed to roam outside in the sunshine and fresh air, scratching for bugs, seeds and greens the way they were created to. Because of this, we have healthy hens who produce healthy eggs that are out of this world! Our hens receive no antibiotics, growth hormones or aresenic-laced feed. We do not clip their beaks for they are not cannibalistic like conventionally-raised chickens. The egg yolks are firm and bright orange full of B vitamins and omega-3 fatty acids and are quite tasty. Eggs from chickens on pasture are higher in folic acid and vitamin B12, as well as the antioxidants, lutein and zeaxanthan. Our family will not and cannot choke down the pale-yolked eggs found in most grocery stores. |

| Our eggs are $2.50 per dozen and come with a fun mix of both brown and white colored shells in the carton. At this time, eggs are available seasonally (early summer to early fall) at our farm. Send us an email john@lighthousefarm.com |
When animals are raised the way they were created to be raised, when they eat what they were created to eat, when they live the way they were created to live, they are much healthier. Healthy animals yield healthy meat and eggs. This contributes to healthier folks who appreciate great-tasting food. |
